So the story I have in my mind ATM is it's a early 2000's China (Korea?) made, destined for the UK or European market but didn't pass inspection due to the dot inlay misalignment so it was passed to MIRC who took off the original serial number, stamped USED, and swapped the Tort pickguard for white for good measure. Lots of things that don't add up for me - 22 frets, wide 12th fret inlays, no Squire logos on tuners (all seem to be normal for UK or Europe market SEs but then how did it get to Seattle?), white pickguard instead of tortoise like a normal SE burst (though maybe white guard was normal for UK/EU model), the lowest dot inlay is not quite centered.
